Fifth Consultation Meeting on Türkiye's Integrated Border Management Strategy and Action Plan Held in Gaziantep
As part of the project titled "Drafting the National Integrated Border Management (IBM) Strategy and Updating the National Action Plan for Implementing Türkiye’s IBM Strategy" (EU4IBMTR), the fifth consultation meeting was held in Gaziantep from November 18-21, 2024. Supported by the European Union and Presidency of Migration Management as the primary project beneficiary, the project is being carried out in collaboration with the Representation of ICMPD in Türkiye. The meeting in Gaziantep evaluated the progress made on the National IBM Strategy and Action Plan, discussed international best practices, and gathered extensive contributions from stakeholders.
The Fourth Consultation Meeting for Türkiye’s Integrated Border Management Strategy and Action Plan Held in Ankara
On 23–24 October 2024, the Fourth Consultation Meeting was held in Ankara as part of the EU4IBMTR Project, titled Drafting the National Integrated Border Management (IBM) Strategy and Updating the National Action Plan for Implementing Türkiye’s IBM Strategy. The meeting, organised in collaboration with the Presidency of Migration Management, the project’s primary beneficiary, and the Representation of ICMPD in Türkiye, evaluated progress in developing the National IBM Strategy and Action Plan and gathered additional input from project stakeholders.
Third Consultation Meeting Held for the Development of Türkiye’s Integrated Border Management Strategy and Action Plan
From September 24-26, 2024, the Third Consultation Meeting took place under the Drafting of the National Integrated Border Management (IBM) Strategy and Updating of the National Action Plan for Implementing Türkiye’s IBM Strategy (EU4IBMTR) Project, which is led by the Representation of ICMPD in Türkiye and primarily benefits the Directorate General of Migration Management.
The SAFE Project Stakeholder Meeting Was Held at the ICMPD Istanbul Office
On 22 August 2024, the ICMPD Istanbul Office hosted a crucial meeting for the Supporting Türkiye’s Efforts to Strengthen Border Management at the Eastern and Southeastern Land Borders (SAFE) Project, which aims to strengthen Türkiye’s border management at the Eastern and Southeastern land borders.
The Second Consultation Meeting for the Development of Integrated Border Management Strategy and Action Plan was organised in Ankara
On 29 August 2024, the representation of ICMPD in Türkiye’s Border Management Portfolio organised the 2nd Consultation Meeting in Ankara for the Drafting of a National Integrated Border Management (IBM) Strategy and Updating of the National Action Plan to Implement Türkiye’s IBM Strategy (EU4IBMTR) Project to exchange views and further develop the IBM Strategy and Action Plan with the project stakeholders. Building on the first consultation meeting held on 19 August, this second meeting aimed to comprehensively evaluate the documents and to gather inputs from stakeholders.

On 19 August 2024, a full-day consultation meeting took place in Ankara as part of the EU-funded Drafting of a National IBM Strategy and Updating the National Action Plan to Implement Türkiye's Integrated Border Management (IBM) Strategy (EU4IBMTR). Organized by the Representation of ICMPD in Türkiye’s Border Management Portfolio EU4IBMTR Project Team, the meeting aimed to launch the development process for the IBM Strategy and Action Plan.
