
Drafting of a National IBM Strategy and Updating the National Action Plan to Implement Türkiye's Integrated Border Management Strategy Project is funded by the European Union.
The main objective of the Project, implemented in partnership with the Turkish Ministry of Interior, Presidency of Migration Management, is to develop a national Integrated Border Management (IBM) Strategy tailored for Türkiye and an updated National Action Plan for its implementation, to strengthen cooperation and coordination between IBM institutions in Türkiye and international partners.
ICMPD
Founded in 1993, the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) is an international organisation with 21 Member States and close to 500 staff members. Active in more than 90 countries worldwide, ICMPD holds UN observer status and cooperates with more than 240 partners including EU institutions and UN agencies. The Vienna-based organisation’s representation in Türkiye has two offices, one in Ankara and the other in İstanbul.

The Presidency of Migration Management
The Presidency of Migration Management has been established under the Ministry of Interior with a view to implement policies and strategies related to migration; ensure coordination between the related agencies and organizations in these matters; carry out the tasks and procedures related to foreigners’ entry into, stay in, exit and removal from Turkey, international protection, temporary protection and protection of victims of human trafficking.
